Yes, today is the day we all get together around the Pi Day Pie (perfectly round, of course) and celebrate the many uses of everyone’s favorite irrational and transcendental number*.

What? you didn’t know that π had many uses? well, just feast your eyes on this web site. you never know when you might need some of that stuff.

*Please, please, for the love of the Almighty please call in a math geek (or at least an associate math geek) before tackling the latter Wikipedia link. Seriously. I’ve been on “Jeopardy!” and that one hurt my head.

UPDATE: Holy crow, it’s also Obi’s Sister’s blogging anniversary! her blog (which is quite good, by the way) is four years old today. Go on over and wish her well.
